Climbing, Round the Mountain & Bungy!

Hello friends! We've just returned after five days of tramping around Mt. Ruapehu, an active volcano on the North Island. The weather was as varied as the landscapes we were walking through! The first part of our trip was in rainy & gusty winds, and the last part in clear skies. At the end of each day everyone was rewarded with a dry hut and a toasty warm stove that warmed everyone and dried our gear. We made some new friends a the first night's hut, and even met up with Steffan, a previous acquaintance of Norm from weeks earlier. Todd, from a previous team, joined us for the backpacking trip around the mountain.

Before our hiking trip, we spent an afternoon at a climbing wall in National Park. What a great way to stretch those muscles before hitting the trail!

Setting off in the "Land of Mordor"

The "moonscapes" are amazing!

A quick photo stop in the Rangipo Desert!

Soooo happy to be in the hut!

A quiet corner to do devotions in the hut

Do you know what volcano this is...? Think of a famous NZ filmed movie...

On our way back, we made a stop in Taupo for Laure to brave the bungy! She did a beautiful dive and was ready to do it again!
Please pray for the TEAm as they finish up their last week on TEA and look back on all God has done in their lives. Thank you for your prayers!
