When we arrived in Papakura on Saturday after our Round the Mountain tramp, we thought things would be nice and easy until the end. Wow, we were wrong. Shirley had other things in store for us. After a relaxing weekend we went to the beach and went on one final bush experience.
After a two hour car ride we made it to the beach. We spent so quality time with the line up team that is here to prepare for the visit of the Doulos in June. Shirley said that we were the first team who had enough guts to fly down the sand dune from the top! And we are still alive! Many of us ended up with some bruises and sand beards after our attempts to take on the hill. But it was SO much fun!
We went into the bush for two nights. The first night we ran into a groups of guys who are with the Boys Brigade here in NZ. They were out for their annual meeting. It was a great night of fellowship with them. The second night we were alone in the hut. But God knew what he was doing. We had a two hour worship night around the fire that most of us say was one of the best times on TEA! What better way to finish a programme than by giving God glory!
Thank you everyone who prayed for us during this time. It was very evident that we had people who cared. It really means a great deal to us. May God bless you and keep you all safe.
We would appreciate it if you would pray for all of us as we return home. We would like prayers for our flights and for strength to talk to the people that we encounter about the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Leanne, Tanja and Tina are furthering their travels for a few weeks. Please pray for their safety and for the people that they will meet.
TEA 01/2008 Becky, Tanja, Leanne, Laure, Tina, Nadia and Jess.
