(Left to Right) Darren (Scotland), Andrea (Germany), Kristina (Germany), Chris (England), Ingrid (Sweden), Leigh Anne (USA) & Jessica (Australia)
Thank you to everyone that has been praying for these guys safe arrival. Today (Day 1) has been a day full with orientation, gear checks and getting to know one another. Please pray for the TEAm as they adjust to all the new changes they are experiencing on TEA, and as they prepare to head off this week for their first trip into the backcountry.
Here are a few quotes from Day 1...
Chris says, "It is surreal to actually be here finally! I have been planning this for ages and looking forward to the unknown craziness of TEA! I am looking forward to saying "yes!" to anything the leaders throw my way.
Jess says, "When I first arrived I was nervous about meeting everyone and didn't know what to expect, but I am so happy about the way we have connected already! I am looking forward to getting to know everyone better over the next ten weeks. I am also looking forward to getting out of my "boat" (comfort zone) and being challenged in many areas, one being becoming more confident in sharing my faith with people I meet."
We will be updating the blog regularly with TEAm happenings, so check it out often for the latest news and stories of what God is doing in these guys lives. We appreciate your prayers and look forward to the next ten weeks!

Hello Team! Yahoo, I'm SOOO excited for you all! My time in New Zealand has only continued to change my life in an increasing momentum and since being back home as well! I am lifting you up in my prayers--truly!--and am excited to hear how about all the adventures the Lord has for you! Remember that as you write your team plans that it's truly in pencil (not permanent marker!) because I PROMISE you the Lord will give you the blessins of MANY spontaneous assignments--and these were the times that we grew most in faith! It was is amazing to see how intricately involved He is in our EVERY moment! Also, when times are slow and you have a hard time "being still"...soak it up! That is by far the number one way I grew in my time! :) You may never have this same time in your life ever again to be this still and KNOW that He is God! Your sister in Christ, Leanne Madore
Hey Jess
Brett here - great to here you are there and in one piece. We looked at the theme of 'Getting Out of the Boat' again yesterday at Church. You are an inspiration to us all back here at The Oasis. We are praying that you love your walking on water experience!
Hey you guys!
I'm sooooo excited for you guys. The next weeks will be soooooo life-changing. I'd like too be there too, again. But now it's your turn. Say hi to George, Cristy and Norm. Hopefully for Darren it won't be too much 'Pride and Prejudice'. We'll, at least Norm would have a companion. If you guys are wondering what I'm talking about, ask Norm. He's probably still traumatised.
Have a good time. God Bless
Hey Jessica!

Hi Jess,
I tried commenting last week but it obviously didn't work. Anyway now I'm on. So great to see the team and hear that you've had a good start.
Remember when the going gets tough..."the joy of the Lord is my strength" Also remember Psalm 121 ..."my help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth"
Be encouraged! We're praying for you.
Love, Ruth and Ian
