Cold Snow & Hot Food!

Hey! It's the TEA Team here. We are "totally ok" (Swedish). In our travels over the past week or so we visited Milford Sound, which was beautiful, but the killer sandflies devoured us - don't worry, it was "not too bad" (German/Swedish comment). For three nights we were in Queenstown. While there, George & Carolyn flew home and Norm & Christy came in to spend the next four weeks with us. There was loads of time to visit the town, eat the best ice cream ever, and enjoy the sunshine. A few of us made a survey that asked people about their world views. It was a very easy way to get into a deep conversation with people.

Us at Milford Sound - dangerous with weapons!

Snow cones at the Remarkables!

Yesterday we did a day walk in a mountain range called the "Remarkables." We climbed among the snow and rocks to the ridge which was 2050 meters high! Although it is spring here, there is still a lot of snow and more snow is coming in tonight. Jess had her first snow experience where she built a baby snowman and we all had a fun snowball fight! We then came back to a lovely dinner of hot mexican food which warmed us up after our chilly adventure. It was "koestlich," which means delicious in German.

Celebrating snow!!!

Throughout this week are taking advantage of opportunities to serve our TEAm and others we meet. This has given the chance to practice putting others before ourselves. Our challenge for you at home is to join us in serving others.

Here are a few prayer points:
1. For the things we are learning to not only be in our heads but in our hearts - to live it!
2. That we take opportunities to serve, and not act selfishly.

Thank you for your prayer support! We love & miss ya'll!

Great photos.
We all got very excited last week as it snowed here - in October!! but it didn't last and looked nothing like the glorious and good-for-snowballing stuff in your photos. Sorry to hear everyone's missing home and feeling a bit down.
Remember that lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people are praying for you and that nothing not even homesickness and tiredness can ever seperate you from the love of God in Christ.
God bless,
Lindsay and John and Rosie and Charlotte in Elgin
This is for the whole team but especially for Darren!

Hey Jess!
Now you've seen snow and been able to play in it. I liked your snowman! It mustn't have been too cold as you were wearing shorts or weren't you expecting snow when you got dressed that morning?
Naomi is getting really excited about doing TEA in January.
Glad to hear about some of you doing the surveys. I do trust that it helped you to open up a good conversation afterwards.
We're still praying for you all and we asked people to pray for you at our OM Prayer Night last Thursday.
Lord bless, encourage and strengthen you daily
Love, Ruth and Ian

Hello Darling Jess & all the TEAm
Miss you heaps Jessie, but sooooo(Amy) happy to see how happy you look in the photos, especially the snow! Wow, that was an unexpected extra at this time of year! We love 'Frosty, he's cool(literally, can you bring a piece of him back? Some words of encouragement from the book we're studying at church; Bill Hybels,'Just walk across the room' - Wake up each morning and say "My life is in your hands God. Use me to point someone toward you today - I promise to cooperate in any way I can. If you want me to say a word for you today, I'll do that. If you want me to keep quiet but demonstrate love and servanthood, by your spirit's power I will. I'm fully available to you today, so guide me by your spirit." We know the Lord will empower you to be his hands, feet and mouth. We are praying for you all daily. Love & Blessings Mum & Co.

Hi TEAm!

You don't know me, except for the leaders, but I wanted to say I'm following your adventures with great interest and prayer, and am excited to see what you are doing, and more importantly, what God is doing in and through you.

This is the first TEA team I've not been a part of, but I know you're in great hands!!

Greetings from Timor Leste (East Timor, Asia's newest country), where it's really, really HOT, but great. (Seeing your snow pictures made me jealous!)

Shirley :)
