Pancakes & Tramping!

Hello ya'll!

Over the past week and a half we have been traveling up the West Coast. We hiked to a beautiful beach and saw some penguins! In Greymouth, we enjoyed a night fire on the beach where we cooked "dampers" (which is bread on a stick) & bananas with chocolate. Mmmm! Continuing our journey up the beautiful west coast we stopped at Pancake Rocks (no, they are not edible rocks!). Even though it was cloudy the rocks were amazing. Then, we packed and started our five day tramp in Nelson Lakes. Our first day was three hours hike to the first hut. Unfortunately, I got sick on the way in and it left me too weak to continue the hike. So, Christy & I took a water taxi out of the bush. I was very sad to miss the tramp and especially being with my teammates. We have stayed with the Salts, friends in Motueka, while I have been recuperating these past few days. Tomorrow we head back to Nelson Lakes to pick up the TEAm at the end of their hike. Yea!!! We will be giving you an update of their hiking adventures once they return.

Prayer Requests:

#1: Please pray for our TEAm's health and safety as they walk a long day today.
#2: For me, that I continue to get stronger and feel good again.
#3: Please pray for us as we talk about trusting the Lord with our present and future decisions. This is a very real, important topic for all of us now.

From sunny & warm Motueka,

Leigh Anne & Christy

Leigh-Ann,
So sorry to hear about you getting sick. Hope you are feeling much stronger after the rest.
Tell Jess that we are off for 1 week holiday tomorrow to Golden Beach at Caloundra BUT we'll just be sleeping, swimming and maybe walking a little....nothing strenuous like you guys :)
May the Lord continue to have HIs hand on you

Hey guys!
I was on the last team and I have to say that I LOVE to read your journey! It reminds me so much (good memories!!!). Leigh Anne I understand very well what you went through! I (and another team-mate)also had to stay behind at Motueka while the team was tramping. It was hard to be away from the team but God has used this 2 days there and we lived an AMAZING experience (a very powerful talk with an english girl). Anyway I still remember this talk today and it helps me in many ways but it reminds me espacially that God uses every situation for His glory! Praise Him!
Enjoy your time there because it's all blessed! Could you give a BIG hug for me to our dear leaders Norm & Christy and George & Carolyn? I'm a hugger! ;)
Take care :)

Laure
