A Week of Firsts!

Exciting, challenging, fun, new, adventurous, tiring and very interesting! This is some of what sums up our first week of TEA. Its hard to believe that our TEAm can now look back on our first week. It has been that jam packed that it seems to have flown by. Only 9 weeks left already!

The 'Magic' Stick...

First off, we started the week with our first tramp. We packed our packs on Sunday afternoon and headed off for the Coromandel Pinnacles on Monday morning.

Our first tramp was long, hard and tiring but amazing (ok..so not that long, hard or tiring, but it felt it!) We started by walking through a forest and up, up, up, allllllll day! Our legs were sore but it was all worth while when we got to the hut, which by the way, is the best hut in New Zealand, and it sleeps 80...although there were only 15 there including us!

On the second day we went up to the Pinnacle (200 meters higher than the hut, which makes it 759 meters altogether). To get up there we climbed alot of stairs and rocks, but the view was beautiful.

Sunrise at the top of the Pinnacle!

The 2 nights we spent there were filled with laughter, memories and funny moments! Experiencing your TEAm mates sleeping habits for the first time can be quite amusing! Yes...she knows who we mean! E..E..Eva! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tatonka (Timon) & Gunnva slept through it zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

The "Tatonka" look!

In the first week of amazing teaching we have all had our eyes opened to new things and have already grown in God. We are all excited about sharing our faith with others and reaching our goals, which we set this week for ourselves.

Please be praying for us as a TEAm and for the people we meet along the way as we start our journey south tomorrow! Please also pray for our protection, and for Gods word to speak to us and to minister in our lives.

Our first TEA jump!!!

All our Love,

Naomi, Hanne, Gunnva, Rahel, Eva, Timon & Daniel

Hi Naomi,
I was having troubles seeing your photos but Ian has now bought me a new monitor so they are nice and clear.Looks like you're all having a good time together.

We'll be especially praying for you tomorrow night 29 January at our OM Prayer and Fellowship Night here in Brisbane and encouraging others to plan to do it.

Jess will be giving her report by way of answering questions and showing the powerpoint that Norm made.

May the Lord continue to guide you, keep you safe, teach you and make you bold as you share your faith with people along the way.

Love, Ruth and Ian
