It's easy to say that week 8 has been one of the most versatile of the weeks so far, and a great one too!
We started the week travelling up the west coast of the South Island with Todd to where we are now, in Motueka. We picked up Norm & Christy from the airport and then headed off to Liz and Chris Salt's house. We have had the privilege of helping this wonderful couple who are in the process of constructing a brand new Backpackers. It is set on a beautiful block of land surrounded by an apple orchard with green mountains peaking in the distance. We have enjoyed helping them by painting, cleaning the yard, piling planks of wood, gardening and other handy jobs. It has been a pleasure staying with them and hearing the stories of what God has and is doing in their lives.
We then were ready for another tramp (except for Hanne who needed to rest her knee). This tramp was at Kahurangi National Park. It was only a small tramp of 2 days but we did much walking. The first day we walked 4 hrs to the Hut which was shared with two men. We played pass the pigs with them and shared stories. We enjoyed a yummo Moroccan meal that Norm whipped up, and Christy and Rahel enjoyed a cup of tea with crushed cashews instead of sugar. Yes, cashew's... they some how could not tell the difference between brown sugar and crushed cashew's! On the second day we walked 8 hrs, and also hiked up Mt Arthur! We had to picture what the view looked like because all we could see was cloud.

On our way up Gordon's Pyramid
We are now again at the Backpackers but this time there are more people! No not backpackers, but another TEA Team! TEA-2/2009 found us while we were in Nelson city centre doing an activity with people in the city talking about the topic of Honesty. They not only found us but are staying with us for 4 days! It has been very exciting and fun getting to know them and to share with them what we have learnt so far. We look forward to knowing them more and more each day.
TEA 01 & 02/2009 together for the first time!
We are all excited because we are going to be skydiving on Saturday!! Please pray for us as we continue our journey of growth & change with God. It is important that we make the most of our time here and make the most of opportunities we are given.
All our love TEA 01 - Naomi, Hanne , Gunnva, Rahel, Daniel, Eva and Timon
